HA Tunnel VPN is a type of Virtual Private Network (VPN) that allows secure communication between two endpoints over the Internet. The acronym "HA" stands for High Availability, indicating that the VPN is designed to provide a highly available and reliable connection between the endpoints. This technology is commonly used to securely connect remote users to a corporate network, or to securely connect two networks in different geographic locations.
HA (High Availability) tunnel connects to the internet by forwarding the traffic from a private network to a public network through an intermediary, such as a load balancer or a VPN gateway. The intermediary acts as a gateway between the two networks, encrypting the traffic and allowing it to traverse the public internet to reach its destination. The traffic is then decrypted and forwarded to the destination network. This process allows for secure, remote access to the private network and its resources from the public internet.
What is SNI ?
SNI (Server Name Indication) is an extension to the TLS protocol that allows multiple domain names to be served by a single IP address. This allows multiple websites to be hosted on a single server without having to assign a separate IP address for each domain.
To configure a web server to support SNI, you need to specify the domain name and certificate for each host. Here's an example of a configuration file for an Apache server using SNI:
